BASHOR HOMELESS SHELTER
The annual Feed the Homeless will be held on Friday November 21, 2025 from 6P-8P at the Bashor Homeless Shelter at Central Presbyterian Church, 201 Washington Ave. Atlanta, Ga. 30303.
Please RSVP by no later than Wednesday 11/19/25 if you plan to attend and the items you plan to donate. If you plan to donate chicken, make sure it is already cut up and not a whole chicken.

If the item you plan to bring is not listed, please RSVP with the name of the item. If you consider bringing fruit, remember that hard fruits are difficult for many guests to eat. Consider bananas, oranges, tangerines, raisins, canned fruit, or even juices.

Dinner-Central – 1 Group Provide Food+ Heat+ Plate+ Serve
6:00PM-8:00PM on Friday, November 21st, 2025
What to know: Plan to serve 76 (70 Guests + 6 overnight volunteers). A basic meal includes a main dish (meat/starch/vegetable) and dessert. Groups typically may add salad, bread, drinks. Coffee, water, plates, cups, bowls, plasticware, salt, pepper, hot sauce, decaf coffee, sugar, and creamer are provided by the shelter.

SHELTER ENTRANCE: GATE ACROSS THE ALLEY AND SIDEWALK
There is a gate that spans the alley and sidewalk on the Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. side of Central Presbyterian Church. If it is closed when you arrive, use the code to open either gate. If you do not know the code, please call or text one of the coordinators listed below. NOTE: Do not park on the yellow portion of the alley; the gate will not close. Located at the back of Central Presbyterian Church go up the steps from the alley to the glass doors. If no one is there to let you in, ring the doorbell to the left of the doors. Once inside, turn left to the elevator and take it to the 4th floor. Anyone bringing food items to the Central location should enter the alley behind the church, off of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. You may remain parked in the alley while you are at the shelter. Be sure to NEVER BLOCK THE DUMPSTERS. Two car lengths of clearance is needed for the dumpsters to be emptied, which can occur at any time of day or night.
ARRIVAL:
Plan on arriving by 6:00 PM. Keep in mind the Atlanta metro traffic and leave yourself plenty of time for an on time arrival. Dinner preparation time is very limited (6:00-7:15P). Plan to serve dinner at 7:15P. Following the kitchen clean up, we can leave, usually around 8:15-8:30 p.m. lf you have questions, please contact the Food Coordinators:
